The six-lesson Thin Sheet Thermoforming program is designed specifically for the training needs of the thin-sheet thermoforming manufacturer. The goal of the course is to help thermoformers reduce scrap, lower defects and boost production efficiency. Paulson previewed an early demo of the course in Orlando, FL, at NPE2015. The in-depth training course covers all aspects of the thin-sheet thermoforming process. Employees will learn about the function of each component of the thermoforming line, plastic behavior during the forming process, sheet extrusion fundamentals, how to optimize operating controls, safety around thermoforming machinery and thermoforming for maximum efficiency and profit. "The course was developed because we had overwhelming requests from our customers to create a specific thermoforming training course. We learned that the market is underserved in this area, and we actually had to create a waiting list for the product," said Craig Paulson, President and co-founder of Paulson Training Programs.

"As we do with all of our courses, we worked with several recognized industry experts, including our Chief Technical Expert, Mark Strachan, the leading authority and consultant to the thermoforming industry, to ensure accuracy," he added.

Paulson Training Programs will offer demonstrations later this month at SPE's Thermoforming Conference in Atlanta from August 31 to Sept. 2 at booth 617. The demos will showcase each of the lessons, and the company plans to show a looping video of its dynamic 3D graphics of the thermoforming machine in action.

With the addition of the Thin Sheet Thermoforming training program, Paulson's library of CDs and online training programs now totals more than 200 courses, covering extrusion, sheet extrusion, injection molding, extrusion blow molding and a variety of health and safety titles. All of Paulson's courses come with study guides and installation instructions; personalized installation by the tech support team is also available.
